Our Vision, Mission and Beliefs

Our mission and vision for FHSM is to see a generation of students give everything they have, everything they are, and everything they strive to be up to God in an attitude of worship for who God is, to lead students into a lifestyle of service, both to the church and to the world around them, looking to Christ as the ultimate example of servanthood, and to see students grow in faith and knowledge of Christ, growing into a lasting relationship with the One who has saved them and a yearning for others to know Him like they do.

Every Wednesday we bring a message of hope. The only hope to be found in Jesus.
Wednesdays during the summer, we are a bit more laid back.  Come join us around the couches and discuss what the Bible has to say.
May24- July 5
(No Youth June 7 for VBS or June 28 for Camp)
Do students know what they believe? Do they know why they believe it? One day, they will leave youth group—they will go off to college or move away. Will they have the knowledge of God’s Word to carry with them?
The early church established statements to be recited by believers as a way of summarizing the beliefs expressed in Scripture. These statements of faith were called creeds. This five-week student sermon series dissects the foundational beliefs in the Apostles’ Creed: "I believe in God, the Father Almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, God's only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. On the third day he rose again; he ascended into heaven, he is seated at the right hand of the Father, and he will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting."
July 19 - August 9
Movies are powerful cultural artifacts that entertain, shape, and inspire people all over the world. Whether you realize it or not, our students are watching a lot of movies. This series harnesses some of the biggest blockbusters slated for 2017, using them as illustrations for important scriptural truths. Touching on topics like grace, evangelism, community, and purpose, this series is a great opportunity to help our group understand and apply God’s Word in a powerful way.
August 16 - September 6
There is a real pressure in today’s culture to compromise our beliefs in order to fit in with everyone else. It’s something our youth are facing at school, on the internet, and maybe even at home. This 4-week sermon series examines principles from the book of Daniel to help our students maintain their relationship with God in a culture that is often contrary to the faith.

We Are Social

Church is not a building. We extend God's love to our community and online through all our social media channels. View our new videos, teaching and more. Connect and interact in discussion groups.
